In this class, students will practice thinking and writing from multiple perspectives while improving their persuasive writing and public speaking skills. In this engaging and interactive writing class, we will read beloved fables and meet the animal main characters who bring these stories to life! A Typical Camp Day

10603209_362379567246572_2667516092860064441_n9:00- 9:30am:  Writing community building activities, reading as a writer: studying the writing strategies of a variety of authors/writers through mentor texts.

9:30 – 9:45am: Plan boxes. Students will plan out their next steps in the writing process and share with the teacher their writing progress from the previous night’s homework.

9:45 – 10:30am: Building writing stamina and one-on-one teacher conferences.

10:30 – 11:00am: Special journaling craft led by a visiting artist.

11:00 – 11:30am: Writing continued, group sharing, homework writing plans.

11:30am: Pick up time

* Fri will culminate with a special writing celebration for all our writers!
